More April updates...


Succulents doing well despite the cooler weather...

I cleaned out my nasty corner cupboard which houses all my plastic containers...much better now!

I made another batch of beetroot...
~

We've had some glorious autumn days.  It's been the hottest April for South Australia for years...
~

WW Lamb casserole with cheddar dumplings...
~

WW have some great warming winter dishes in their line up...I'm a sucker for a good casserole or stew.
~

And these!  Three ingredient banana pancakes...one banana, 1 egg and 2 tbspn wholemeal SR flour.  Makes 3 pancakes - gee, they are good!
~

I had a trip to Adelaide on ther 28th April - wedding gown shopping!  We went to this Thai restaurant for lunch - delicious soup dumplings...
~

..and a yummy green curry chicken...
~
We were successful with the shopping - Kirby has picked her dress, now it will be made to order for her.  We also chose Brianna's matron of honour gown too. Tick, tick!
~

Brianna made me this great beef bipimbap dish, very tasty and healthy too...
~

The last of my Soul Sister blooms...

A breakfast frittata made with whatever is in the fridge...

WW Braised chicken with lemon (and I omitted) the artichokes in favour of carrots and zucchini...lemony, spicy with turmeric and comforting sweet potato mash to finish it...

Grapes for a snack at my desk...

Spelt chia seed dinner rolls...

WW Indian-style shepherd's pie - wpicy curry topped with cauliflower and potato mash...
~

WW Creamy chicken and mushroom hot-pot.  Huz couldn't stop raving over this tasty dinner!

So that has me well and truly caught up.  I'll try to blog more regularly now.\

  1. Such delicious and nourishing food, Joolz. I love dumplings so much. My Mum would make stew and dumplings and it was just the best, I always wanted extra dumplings! I started a succulent pot a little while ago after seeing how lovely yours are ... I got a piece of one from a neighbour and just stuck it in some soil. Now it (and some babies) are growing happily. Meg:)

    1. Andrea, the three banana pancakes that the recipe makes total 4 points. Add 2 tspns of Green’s maple flavoured syrup for 1 more point. A wonderful breakfast treat!
