Just knocked up this Jubilee Cake and may I say, it is now half gone. It didn't survive to cool down even!
JUBILEE CAKE
1 1/2 cups SR Flour
2 tbspn butter, rub into flour
2 tbspn sugar
1.5 cups mixed fruit
1 egg
2/3 cups milk
Mix all ingredients together, place in lined loaf tin and bake in
a moderate oven (170C) for about 30 mins, until golden and
skewer comes out clean. Ice with icing made with about 4 tbspn
icing sugar and enough milk to make a runny consistency.
Cool cake slightly then drizzle with icing and let it run down the
sides of the cake.
Enjoy when fully cooled, buttered, with a nice cup of tea (if you can wait that long).
Cheers - Joolz
Joolz - the pincushion looks great! You've done a beautiful job.....
ReplyDeleteThe seam allowance doesn't really matter - it just means your cushion will be a little smaller, that's all.
I'm working on a couple of new tutorials now, so hopefully there'll be something in there that you like!
Cheers,
