Monday roundup...

I had a quiet weekend, although we did go to a dance concert which was fantastic. So much young talent. This is my herb pot which I have planted out with petunias. It's powering along...
~
My geraniums and impatiens are doing well too...
~
I planted tomatoes seedlings on Nov 8th...
~
They are doing well and have many flowers on them so hopefully I'll be eating tomatoes soon...

I dragged out this WIP and thought, there's only one person who this could be for so I am finishing it for Mum (who's 80) for Christmas. I made a fair bit of progress this weekend...
~
... but I still have a looooong way to go. There is all of the back stitching and gold doily to do and also the eyelet stitched border. OMG! Wish me luck!
~
See all that eyelet work? Erk!
~
I took this picture at 5.40pm yesterday. Big menacing clouds but only a little bit of thunder and a few lightning flashes, making it hot and humid. By 7.30pm the rain set in and was steady all night. Happily, our rain water tanks are overflowing this morning.
~
My thoughts are with those on the NSW East coast battling rising flood waters and crop devastation, especially in the Coonamble/Wagga Wagga region. It never rains, it pours.

  3. Your tomatoes are looking very healthy as are the flowers. You will get the cross stitch finished for your Mum for Christmas but there is still a lot to do :0). There is plenty of rain around at the moment and luckily not a lot here, but down south it is not looking good.

  4. Beautiful cross stitching. I love to do that...and crochet, too.
Those storm clouds look menacing....and I have to admit that I enjoy looking at clouds of all kinds...the white fluffy dreamy ones...as well as the dark and ominous ones....beautiful photo of the clouds.
Your tomatoes look like they are healthy....Enjoy!!!
    Smiles to you from Jackie

  6. Love the colours of your petunias. Your plants all look so lush and healthy. I love this time of year as everything grows so quickly with the warmer weather.

  7. What gorgeous petunias--and it seems like it was just summer here (since it stays pretty hot til Oct.)in our neck of the woods!
It's really cold here now--in the low 20's at night, and it IS beginning to feel like Christmas!
Your stitchery is lovely--I meant to finish a couple of pieces before Christmas, but now I know I will not have time! Maybe after the first of the year!

  8. I can't believe how much rain Australia is getting at the moment (well most of it) - but it's a bit ridiculous over on the eastern side - from drought to floods :(
love the cross stitch - it will make a lovely gift
