Things are going well in the Vegepod. I haven’t lost any plants although the peas lost a few leaves but they weren’t the greatest fresh seedlings either.
Same with the beetroot, they were pretty spindly but they’re all standing up and starting to thicken. We are in for more hot weather from Friday onwards so they should get a grow on.

It's looking good, Joolz! I've been keeping an eye on your updates, because I think I want what you have! lol! I can't wait until I can start doing some gardening around here, but the place the hubs has chosen, is too far way from the house and I KNOW the critters (wild ones) will take advantage of it!
ReplyDeleteKate, if you can get your hands on one, I’d get a large (2m x 1m) which should keep you and Dan in veggies of all kinds.. mine is a medium 1m x 1m which is big enough for us.
ReplyDeleteYes, it’ll need to be close to the house so you can monitor it and water daily but they reckon they’re possum proof!
What a great idea! I have possums so this would definitely keep them out. Could I ask, does it sit on the ground or is it on a stand? So miss my veggie patch and can't wait get growing again :)
ReplyDeleteYes, it is on a stand with wheels so it can be wheeled anywhere on solid ground. Waist height.
ReplyDeleteOh great, thank you :)
