A busy day and a great night...

First job was cleaning out the fish bowl ...
~
Next I had to take my Mum to the doctors to have an ingrown toenail looked at.  It required anti-biotics so I hope that sorts it out.  A podiatrist comes to the aged care home next week so they can look at it then.  Mum has her hand dressed daily and it is healing well.

While I was gone, Bri made meringues for the dessert I wanted to make for dinner.
~
Then I made knot rolls ...
~
 ~
and vanilla bean ice cream ...
~
~
We had my MIL and her sister for dinner ... First up, champagne to start!
~
Nibbles ...
We had sticky honey chicken, a greek salad and potato wedges ...
~
Then I assembled my dessert - a Millicent Mess - vanilla icecream, whipped cream, crushed meringues and berry compote wopped with an extra meringue.
~
It was gooood!
~
The girls being silly on our bed ...
~
This morning I was up early as the Corellas fly in about 6am and their squwarking drives me nuts so I get up.  They have started landing on our tin roof and the scratching sounds terrible.  I think we need to find a solution to deter them! (bang, bang!)
~
I finally finished this dishcloth that I started back in November.  I won't need to do any for a while now.
~
What are you up to this Sunday afternoon?
Cheers - Joolz

  2. Can I come to dinner? Your food looks fantastic, the dessert to die for.
I've been making cards today, using the Big Shot hubby and 2nd daughter bought me for Xmas. I had to go online (as you do) and bought some nesting dies and embossing folders. Makes all the difference to card making.

  4. Oh my! Dinner and dessert look delicious. That dish cloth would look good as a scarf for winter, lovely neat stitches and pattern.
