I made up this "Cookies in a Jar" mix in about 5 minutes and even printed off the label and recipe too. This would make a great 'teacher' present for kids to give their favourite teacher.
The recipe is from Taste.com here. I have several 200gm Moccona coffee jars and they are the ideal size and have a glass stopper lid which seals really well.

So yummy! Your cookies in a jar are a very pretty gift, too.
ReplyDeleteYum, I'm seeing Christmas baking everywhere this morning, what did you use to flatten your biscuits? I'm looking at the pattern and can't figure it out.
ReplyDeleteThe jars of mixes are a great idea aren't they? I made 'brownie bars in a jar' for friends a few years ago and they were very well received. Last year I did muesli but I'm thinking of actually baking something this year for people! If I run out of time I have a great recipe for a chai tea mix I found at a blog that I may do for a few friends. Those candy cane cookies look great too - I'm sure they are going to be enjoyed!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so good.
ReplyDeleteThose sweet little cherry shortbreads are tugging at my heart strings...they just look like Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThose coolies look delicious! And I'm with Pip. What did you use on those choc cookies?
ReplyDeleteThey all look fantastic Jools. The cookie mix in a jar is a great idea, especially if you don't have the time to cook them yourself. I love the look of the cherry shortbread, I will definately be making those for christmas. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteOh I had forgotten I was going to make some 'cookie jars' this Christmas!! Those biscuits look so festive and I love your candy cane cookies. I made some as well this week! Great minds think alike!!
