We have always called Kirby, our Kirby Bear. This is her room, all cleaned out...and unlike PlaySchool... there is no bear in there!
We'll move a bed in here shortly so she has a bed when she comes home for holidays.
Heh, heh. One less room to keep clean...Yay!

yeah, one less room to clean that would be nice. Her room at school looks nice. I am sure that she will get used to it all in no time.
ReplyDeleteLots of sweet memories in this room.
ReplyDeleteI remember the sadness when I arrived home from settling my daughter in Adelaide. Her room looked so bare. It didn't take long for one of the others to make a claim on her room.
After 10 years in Adelaide my eldest has now returned home living and working locally, the call to the country was too great! She is settled in a nearby little country town.
Thinking of you as you travel this next stage of your life and your daughters.

Strange situation, for me. I have two kids at "O" week this week. One is a newie (Miss 22) and the other is a Student Mentor (Miss 18), but they are both still at my house. Sometimes I would like them gone and other times I'm glad they're there. It's a double edged sword no matter what your situation I think. My daughter loved her Uni experience last year and I'm sure it will be the same for yours!
ReplyDeleteI learned to Sign staring in Girl Scouts and then I took some classes at college. I love it. We had a friend here that was deaf and we used to talk all the time. It is fun too that my husband knows some and we can talk without the kids knowing what we are saying. Sneaky. Well, until they learn and know what we are saying.
