These are a few sunset pics I took back on 28th December...
~
~
We booked a beach house down at Beachport and had 4 nights there. The house was magnificent, with everything we needed for a comfy stay...
We welcomed in the New Year at a friends house...
I grew up having my summer school holidays at Beachport as Mum and Dad had a shack there. It's still there but I forgot to take a picture of it...
We bought a crayfish - $95/kg!!! Gus barbecued it in the Weber...
~
...then we had crayfish baguettes for dinner! So good!
~
We went for a little four-wheel drive but it was a bit too cool and windy to have lunch on the beach so we went back home and had lunch there. Lazy days...
I made this fantastic foccacia...we had it with creamy bacon carbonara pasta bake...
Brianna crocheted and I knitted...
We watched episodes of Friends...
The last day we were there, I used up what was in the fridge...green beans, tomato and bacon; grilled capsicum and zucchini, fried onions and a tossed salad. Gus cooked lamb cutlets. We just sat watching the view of the bay. In hindsight, we should have booked for the whole week - we will for next year!
The girls played Canasta...drank Sangria...got noisy!
Sunrise on Tuesday morning. Time to pack up and go home 😕
Back to work in the afternoon. The girls are still here until the coming weekend so I'm grateful for that 😘
Cheers - Joolz xx
Well, you've done it again...made me hungry! LOL
ReplyDeleteWe used to keep a Canasta table up constantly. Ages ago, not sure I'd remember how now (brown cow). :)
Oh drool, I love lobster! Beautiful pictures of the sunsets.
