My #onething today is my oven. It wasn't too bad but needed a going over.
~
First, I vacuumed it out to get rid of crumbs and charred bits. Then I scrubbed the oven floor with a scourer and MS, then wiped out with water on a sponge. I speinkked the door glass with carb soda then sprayed with MS and let soak in for 5 minutes.

a sparkling oven but the inside glass needs to be removed as there are stains on the inner side. Weekend job for me and Gus.

Those roses I bought on Sunday are opening up and still looking lovely!

I need to do this too. Mine is self-cleaning, but I've heard that lots of self-cleaning ovens never work quite right again after running the self-clean cycle. But then I don't know if it would damage the self-clean finish to use some kind of cleaner on it. So I just leave it as is. Nobody but me sees it, so... What's MS?
ReplyDeleteI need to do this also. Mine is really looking bad at the moment.
ReplyDeleteWhat is MS Joolz? I wrap my oven racks in foil and cover with hot hot water in laundry tub, which has washing powder in it, for a few hours. The foil reacts somehow and the gunk just slides off with a steelo.
ReplyDeleteA homemade household spray, Sue. Go back a few posts to where I cleaned my washing machine.

As with most cleaners, test on inconspicuous area first.

Oh, and you are onto it with the foil and washing powder (I use Napisan powder or the like) for your oven racks and trays - brilliant!
