Well, it took me about half an hour! I was ruthless and tossed a big heap of clothes. If I hadnt worn it this summer, then it got ousted!

That's better. Everything in view. There are probably more items that could go from the hanging section but I have summer and winter gear hanging there. I have a stacker box which I have my summer odd gear stored in. Singlet tops and older tee shirts and shorts which are good for camping. I even found 3 tops that I could have worn this summer. Might get a few wears in before they get put away again. I need new track pants and I need to dye my old black ones to revamp them for 'round homers'.

This is the MOTH's end - I think its been two years between toss outs for him. He's precious about his 40 shirts so I daren't touch them! Sigh!
Cheers - Joolz xx
Oh man, doesn't it feel good to just go back and look at it whenever you pass by? :) I did mine last December, and I have to say that I still love the way it looks! I feel like I finally found a layout that works for me...haven't felt that way since we moved here. Also I had $465 worth of donation receipts to give to CPA last week for deductions to 2014 taxes for all the clothes I donated. And that was at the donation suggestion price list; so about $2 per blouse, $4 per jacket, etc.
ReplyDeleteMy MOTH sounds just like yours being precious about clothes. Most of the 'yard' shirts have more holes that material, apparently they are still wearable. I'd been on his back for weeks to clean out his side finally he gave in on the way out the door to work one afternoon. I had started cleaning it out by the time he drove out the drive and I'm sure I'd finished in the 10 minutes it took him to drive to work. What does a man need over 20 pairs of socks for?? They hit the bin straight away.
ReplyDeleteI usually go through and do a cull, when I buy new clothes. gotta make room in the wardrobe. I do a cull of hubbys clothes probably once a year, he likes to hang onto old faded shirts. I swear he never really notices ;)
ReplyDeleteI need to cull my summer clothes once it gets cooler. We have a 36C degree day coming up this week before cooling down to normal weather again so I won't do that too quickly :-)
