On Sunday, 3rd February, we took our guest to the Mayura Station Tasting Room for lunch... Previously we have found the servings to be small (hence that is why it is called the tasting room) but this trip, there was more than enough to satisfy the gentleman eaters).

Guests are seated around the kitchen to watch the beef dishes being prepared...

My two lovelies!
~
First course was a slow braised rib fillet, this just fell apart and was served simply with brocollini and a soy butter dressing...
~
Next course was a porerhouse cut, seared on high heat then sliced thinly over carrot puree and served with roasted root vegetables...
~
Third course was a melt in your mouth eye fillet which I cut with my fork! This was served with a jus and a fondant potato ...
~
and these sides which were glazed green beans, a blue cheese apple, radish and pepita salad and zucchini and squash.
~
Dessert was a delicious vanilla bean panacotta served with Portland strawberries and rubarb with a vinegar syrup.
~
Honestly, this lunch was amazing and our guests were blown away at the fact that we have this in our back yard. They have booked to come again next year!
~
Stay tuned for what we got up to this weekend just passed....
Cheers - Joolz
