I'm baaaack! I am still having trouble with my neck - not sure what to do next? I have been to the physio therapist who worked on my neck muscles, gave me acupuncture (5 needles) then strapped by back with tape to hold the neck muscles in place - that was fun, not! It really limited the way I could turn my head and after 3 days I had it ripped off to free me up again.
Then I went back to him on Tuesday for further work. He can twist my neck every which way without re-creating the pain I have so he says there is no nerve damage (even though to me, my neck feels numb to touch). I have another appointment on April 6th so I guess I will put up with the burning, stabbing pain until then.
I definitely get the pain when I sit at the computer, at home or at work, so will have to keep to a minimum with rest in between. So annoying!

Hello Joolz, Hope you begin to feel better soon, it is hard to put up with constant pain, it makes one feel miserable...
ReplyDeleteI have had cortisone injected into my shoulder this week, slowly the pain is going, but am still restricted with movement. I hope it works so I can avoid surgery. The joys of old age and old injuries lol...
I look forward to seeing your photos and recipes.
Rest up,
xTania
I'm so, so, so sorry about your back and neck. I know. I have these problems, too. I hope you feel much better soon. Your pictures are just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSending you hugs. It sounds so painful, I hope you can get some relief between now and your appointment. I guess all you can do is not be on the computer too long at a time. Are you blogging from your phone? I guess you can't really do office things on your phone.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Lisa xx
A pain in theneck is horrible and not something you want to last more than a couple of days, hope it sarts to feel a little better for you soon and hope there is no lasting pain.
ReplyDeleteThis may get long, and you are probably tired of hearing suggestions to help your neck, but have you considered reflexology? I know, I know, it's really 'alternative.' But for the past 15 years or so I have had back pain that my chiropractor couldn't help. After many visits she suggested that it might be organic, so I went to my medical dr, but she couldn't find anything either. She prescribed muscle relaxers, but no help at all. I went back to the chiropractor, and she suggested I might try reflexology. I went as soon as possible, and after the treatment the pain was better by that night, and gone the next day. This mystery pain recurs once every two or three years maybe, and I head straight to the reflexologist for relief. And even if it didn't help, having someone massage your feet and hands for an hour is heaven! I hope you find something that helps soon.
ReplyDeleteI've missed reading your news since you've been away. I hope Briana is feeling better. Is she over the glandular fever? I had it when I was 17, and it took awhile to get over. She's been in my thoughts.
The computer is responsible for so many new health problems. This is just one more of them I feel. So sorry you are suffering. Marilyn
