These yummy cupcakes were featured on Kelli's blog There is no place like home...so I decided it was high time I tried Red Velvet Cake.

Do you like my Tupperware piping tube? It's the first time I have used it and it was really good. Very easy to control with both hands and it holds a lot of mixture.

The finished articles with the piping tube and its various nozzles. Glad I bought it.

What's happening in your part of the world? It's been raining quite heavily here today, after being hot and 38C here yesterday.

We are off to the Cape Jaffa Seafood & Wine Festival tomorrow so hope to have some pictures to show you later on. I'm enjoying a quiet Saturday just pottering and enjoying a glass of wine too.

I love my Tupperware piping thingo:)
ReplyDeleteVery yummy cakes too.
They look yummy!! I have one of those piping balls... I'm glad they work so well... I should use mine one day!! :) I just HAD to have it!
ReplyDeleteSo now I know, have been hearing a lot around the blogs about these cakes lately. Yep that piping bag sure looks a winner to me.
ReplyDeleteRaining & flooding here, but hey what's knew about that. Our business is losing so much this weather, but yet we are so thankful we have a nice DRY home, unlike many families tonight in QLD.
Have fun tomorrow Joolz.
I was almost too scared to read your post given the title...I think I put on a couple of Kgs just reading it...LOL...those cupcakes look amazing....I have an earlier version of a Tupperware icing thingy.....works well. Have a great day tomorrow....we didnt get any rain today but it was a lot cooler than the last couple of days. (thank goodness)
ReplyDeleteI love cupcakes. I used to see the red velvet ones in Woolworths, and wondered what flavour they actually were. We had one once, and weren't really sure, so thanks for clearing that up - chocolate!! Cream cheese frosting is the best. Have a great time tomorrow. The weather should be perfect.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Lisa x
I'm so glad you tried them! I love your piping bag...how fun! Have a wonderful weekend!

I had my DiL baby shower and made cupcakes too. I was wondering how good those tupperware piping things were now I know, I just use a piping bag. Might have to get one of those:0)
ReplyDeleteThey look yummy! The only attempt I've had at red velvet cake was a disaster, I must try again!
ReplyDeleteI am alaways curious of Red velvet cake too,I never tried it but should,I have the original blue and claer tupperware piping ball but it is so hard to push/squeeze,Your acordian styled one looks easier...
ReplyDeleteWhenever I see or hear anything about red velvet cake, I think of the wedding scene in the movie Steel Magnolias. The groom's cake was a red velvet cake in the shape of an armadillo...when they cut into it it just looked horrendous. Yours, on the other hand, look very yummy! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I don't think I've mentioned it, but your blog header photo and background look SO beautiful together!
