I did some baking yesterday and while they are not Christmas recipes per se, the end result looked Chrismassy! Cherry Shortbreads...

I also made some Rocky Road. I bought round Christmas boxes from the $2 shop (ours is called Absolutely Anything) to put them in.

We had dinner at Angus' Mum's new unit last night. Her sister is visiting from Bendigo so I made up a box for each of them. They were super pleased!

Do you have any good Christmas recipes which make good gifts?

Oh, my. Those would never last until Christmas in my house! ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Joolz,
ReplyDeleteThey look delicious. Honey Biscuits is always a traditional Christmas treat in my husband's family.
We're learning lots about your area of late as our local TV news services have combined...Do you watch the local news? There's been a fair bit of flack about it here in the Riverland. Saw you had your local Christmas pageant yesterday...it's starting to feel a lot like Christmas!
I used to make spicy, sweet almonds, apricot balls and mince pies. I'm not doing much baking this year because my cholesterol is a bit high, I need to look out some recipes that have no saturated fat in them. Your biscuits look yummy, I will just have to drool over the pictures.
ReplyDeleteI would have been happy with those goodies too. I make much the same and usually add coconut ice as well. A baking day is nice every now and then.
ReplyDeleteMy Favorite thing to recieve is homemade goodies! And yours look delish!
ReplyDeleteThe cherry ones look really melt in the mouth buttery....Yummmmm
