Escargot, Mademoiselle?

On our last day in Paris, we visited Sacre-Coeur - the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. After marvelling at this lovely Roman Catholic church, we wandered through the streets, souvenier shopping. We found a lovely little restaurant (Le Consulat) and had our last french meal. For entree - Escargot - or snails to us!
~
Slippery little suckers to get out of the shells - covered in parsley and garlic butter.

Brianna (rocking le French beret) considers it...

Will she, won't she ?
~
Oui, oui - I shall take ze plunge!
~
Ooh, that's different!
~
Mmm, not bad! I'll have another one, thanks!

  4. I've been to Sacre-Coeur -- gorgeous church! When I visited Paris in 2007, I got up super early, like 4:30am, left my hotel at 5:30am and walked up to Sacre Coeur to see the church in the early morning sunrise. When I got there, the outside of the church had been vandalized -- it looked like red paint balls or something deep red all over the white marble...the police were there, along with folks from the church...hopefully they were able to clean the red off the white marble! So sad!

I've never had escargo though! Your daughter is brave! :)
