I just dropped B15 off to our local Community Club. She is doing a couple of trial nights to see if she likes the work, doing kitchen duties and waitressing. She will be doing dishes and vegetable preparation tonight and learning where everything is and memorising table numbers. She will work again on Tuesday and then if she likes it and they are happy with her, she can take some shifts. A couple of her friends work there so hopefully she does okay - (Added later - B15 enjoyed her first experience at waitressing. She helped deliver meals to tables as well as running the industrial dishwasher to get the dishes done. One more trial then she can decide).

Now, where did I put than wine...

Oh, Joolz, I just love how you shared the different expressions you use in Australia. It really tickles me to see and enjoy our cute differences.
ReplyDeleteLet us know if she likes the new job and decides to stay with it.
