Very cherry!

Again, on the weekend, I was gifted a bag of cherries from our girl's lovely old Italian neighbour.  Instead of just eating them, I decided to process them but I can't say anymore on that just now...

Secret Santa stuff, you know!
~
It took forever to pip them!

Yummy, yummy!

My good old, go to juice recipe - apple, orange, carrot, celery and beetroot...
~
My banana smoothie which I have at about 8.30am with 1 tspn honey, 2 medjool dates, cacao and maca powder with almond coconut milk - it was delicious but contains too much sweetness to be good for me. I revised it today and its much better.

Thick and filling...

A meal in a glass!

I thought it was time I got organised with my sister presents and I found this fabric which will help me finish the gifts...
~
I'd better get going with them!
~
I put more carrot in this morning's juice and yes, I know there should be greens in there but I'm not a big fan of the taste.  I willstart experimenting with my bullet soon.
~
Now, my smoothie makeover - I had a bit of left over fruit salad (melon, pineapple, watermelon) so that went in, a big banana, cacao and maca powder and 1 medjool date.  I have decided almond milk is not for me - its expensive and I could care less about the flavour so I just used my regular no fat milk which has .25gms total fat per 250ml serve or .10gms per 100mls. We've been using this for years.
~
I also left out the honey as the date makes it quite sweet enough...
~
A delicious glass of goodies to keep me going until midday...
~
I have also cut my coffee and tea consumption right down.  Maybe one coffee during the day and a cup of tea before bed.

What's on the agenda for you today? I'm off to work as usual after doing a few jobs here first...
Cheers - Joolz xx

  1. We haven't used our Nutri Bullet as much as we should have, Joolz. I must start making more smoothies. I have given up sugar so don't use sweetening any more. I am trying to get used to milk kefir so might add some of that to a smoothie tomorrow.

    1. I am really enjoying the smoothies, each day is a bit different. Having cut out bread at breakfast time, in just 2 weeks, I can't believe how less bloated I feel and I can notice a difference in my waist line, even if my weight hasn't shifted much. Get that bullet whizzing, summer is a great time to get going!
