Down to the beach...

 

It was a lovely warm day here yesterday but there was a stupid wind blowing which didn't make our plans for going to the beach look real good!

We made our way to McIntyre Beach and set up. We had a simple barbecue lunch of snags, burgers and steak, in bread, with sauce. Deeelicious!

Then we just around and enjoyed the sunshine, even though it was annoyingly windy!

this is Bri's friend Chloe. She is a nurse too. I'm not sure what she makes of our crazy family, but there have been plenty of laughs!

Back home, we made pizzas in our big barbecue. This is a Margherita...

and this one is potato, parmesan, caramelised onion and rosemary...

I usually make the dough but I spied bags of dough in our local bakery. A $4 bag made 3 pizzas so it was worth buying. It made a nice crust.

Gus lit the chiminea but we had limited dry wood and the thing smoked and belched. We tried taking the top off of it and that was a bit better. Plans were hatched to have a built-in fireplace installed. We'll see!
