"The Serendipity Cafe's Online Biccie/Cookie Exchange"

Kimmie at The Serendipity Cafe is having an online biscuit/cookie exchange so pop on over and view her comments for other links to yummy recipes! Good one, Kimmie!
.
CHERRY SHORTBREADS
.
180 gms butter, softened (please don't use margarine)
1/3 cup icing sugar
1 tspn vanilla
1/3 cup cornflour
1 cup plain flour + a bit
100 gms glace cherries, halved
~
Cream butter, vanilla & icing sugar together until pale and creamy, using electric beaters. Stir in both flours to make a soft dough. Add a touch extra flour if you need. I place my dough in a piping bag and pipe the biscuits onto a lined tray. You could also roll them into balls then squash flat with a fork or similar. Add a cherry to the centre and bake for approx. 12-15 minutes until just golden. Watch that they don't brown too much.

This is a recipe I came upon a few years back and it is a never fail recipe and a favourite in our house. Try stopping at one! I hope you enjoy them- Joolz

Your Cherry Shortbreads look ever so delish. Could do a festive mix of green and red cherries also?!

Will be making these this coming weekend!

Thank you for joining in honey bun.
