This is the planter I received from my sister-in-law & family. I have planted tomatoes, basil, thyme, oregano, chives, parsley and continental parsley in it. Time will tell if it is successful - we'll hang it in a spot that gets a bit of sun then shade. hopefully in about 5-6 weeks we should see tomatoes everywhere.~

What an interesting idea. I have seen strawberries grown that way, but not tomatoes. I'll be interested to see how they go.

I bought 2 of them and planted tomatoes in them, wee, one accidentally fell of the nail and you can imagine what happened then! The other tomato plant twisted itself upright instead of hanging so I felt sorry for it and put it in the ground. I'll try again next year.

Yours looks like it is working. My entire family tried them and they didn't work. Maybe with a few different plants it did better. I should try this here. :)
