Scorcher!

We're in for a hot 38C here today! It's been the weirdest summer - lots of rain, not many hot days like today and we're already getting the feels of autumn in the mornings. We haven't had three hot days strung together although we've had some sticky, humid days. Totally whacky!

The garden has been doused and I'm going to turn the air con on in a minute and close the house up so the house stays cool.

I am experiencing trouble with Blogo now, that's why I haven't posted recently. I'm not sure what the problem is - but its related to my pictures as words post but not my pictures. This is a test to see if only one picture will publish. Fingers crossed!

Stay cool, friends!

Cheers - Joolz xx

  1. I see the photo, but it did take awhile to download. I have started editing all my photos that are specifically for my blog to a lower resolution...not because of any problem I've had, but just to take up less memory. I've seen people who have mentioned getting notices that they have too many photos on their blog, and kind of hoping taking this action might forestall that for me.

    1. The error message I get says that the server is not working or similar, it doesn't seem to be related to the number of oics, although the last post I wanted to publish did have quite a few.
I have tried taking my iPad to work, connecting to my iPhone hot-spot and it still won't publish. I am beyond frustrated as it was working beautifully! :(

  2. PS: It was 86F (30c) here today, and humidity so high lately that we have turned on the air conditioner just to dry out the air in the house a bit. Winter...hmmmph!

  3. it's a nice 30`c here atm but the humidity is creeping up though
they tell us it's going to be an over 40`c on the weekend! this is similar weather to when i first came up to qld over 30yrs ago, a little more predictable than the current but still HOT, i loved it back then, not so much now with the menopause
hope you get your blog sorted, can see your pic & it did take awhile to load for me too.
    thanx for sharing

  4. Yes, Qld's weather has changed so much over the years. We southerners used to head to the Gold Coast for lovely day of 25C in Winter, now its usually pouring rain, 40C or blowing a gale!
I absolutely hate any humidity, I overheat immediately!

    1. Thanks, Meg! Oh, this hot weather is not good, eh? I hate anything above 25C really and 35C is a scorcher for me! Bring on Autumn! :)

  6. Weird season that's for sure. Got to 47 deg here in the Riverland today!! I've noticed your photos are taking ages to load of late. Maybe your photos file size is too large. Might be a case of changing the settings on your phone or camera to a lower res.

    1. Oh, that can bugger off! That is ridiculous!
With the photos, I can't work out why it is failing all of a sudden after I've been using this app for about a month. I've been so pleased with how my iPad pictures are coming out and I don't think I've changed a thing. Most annoying!
Do try and stay cool, I hope the weekend isn't so bad. I'm off to Adelaide today but the weekend is cooling down so it shouldn't be too bad. Might go to the movies and Marion to keep cool! :)

    1. That is strange. Yes, its definitely to do with the pictures but I can't see where to change the resolution and why is it just starting to play up now, after using it for about a month? These things give me the irrits!

Oh, you poor things with that weather. Strangely, way down south where we are, its been a very mild summer with lots of rain. We haven't really had 3 hot days strung together and weirder is, we usually are only a few degrees cooler than Adelaide but lately if they have 39C, we have 29C. Our other advantage is that we are close to the coast so we get a cool breeze at night which cools things down nicely. But poor NSW today! Stay cool and safe,
