This and that and a zip to Adelaide...

I did a bit more in my garden this past week so its looking pretty tidy...
~
~
Everything is starting to sprout out nicely...
~
Now for something random!  Do you ever clean out your kettle or electric jug?  I use Breville cleaner and it works brilliantly.
~
My jug gets quite dark and murky over time so about every 6 months I try to give it a clean with
this stuff.  You put in 100 mls of the cleaner and fill the jug up, boil it and let it cool for 30 minutes.  Boil it again then tip out the water.  Fill the jug again and boil it again.
~
Tip out this water and sit and marvel at how clean the jug is!  Brand new again!  Time for a cuppa!
~
I took this picture last year when we were over in Victoria for a break... Love it!
~
Have a look at our cheeky sheep!  Both front legs balancing on the wire, nibbling the
neighbour's shrub!
~
Last Friday, I headed to Adelaide to catch up with our girls.  Gus had seen them the previous week and they went out for dinner for Fathers Day.  He decided he'd stay home this weekend and do some work in readiness for our holiday so it was just me in the car, singing away to my country toonz!
~
I like to make things for my girls so I got to on Saturday and made a choccy cake for Bri to take to work to share with her nursey girls.
It's a packet cake that comes with a cardboard tray that you bake the cake in.
~
It comes with icing and sprinkles...

~
Saturday afternoon, we went to see The Secret Life of Pets - hilarious!
~
Sunday, as always on Father's Day, I missed my dear Dad...
~
Kirby, Bri and I went out for brunch to Bar Nine...nice lattes...
~
Yummy breakfast...
~
On Sunday, we went to the matinee for Sound Of Music.  Great show but unfortunately, I had a tall lady in front of me, who jumped around like she was having a fit all the time!  So annoying!  I reckon I only saw half the show!
~
Here we are at interval!
~
It was a lovely afternoon when we got out of the theatre!
~
That afternoon, I made the most naughty chocolate cookies from Nigella Lawson

 Totally Chocolate Choc Chip Cookies
 ~
~
Oh, my goodness! So chocolately!
~
and finally on Sunday night, I make a chicken and corn mornay which we had in vol au vents.  Phew, I am done.  It was so nice to see them and hang with them for a few days.
~
~Sorry, I took a while to put up the text for this post - I actually forgot that I'd published it!  Stay tuned for some holiday snaps, coming soon!

Cheers - Joolz xx
