Another busy week....

Morning coffee...

Delicious sticky lemon chicken...

Baked rice - add whatever vegetables take your fancy, add a cup of rice and 2 cups of stock, dot with a bit of butter on top, cover with foil and bake for about 40 minutes.  Take of foil, stir and let bake a further 5 minutes...

We are having an outdoor fireplace installed...
~

It still has to be clad with a paddock rock-look plasterboard and have a redgum mantlepiece inserted.

A slaw of sorts - huz hates cabbage so I used cos lettuce instead...
~

Roast lamb, asian slaw and potatoes...

I need to get up and start looking at the sunrise each morning.  I'm up but I don't open the blinds soon enough.  This was the pretty pink sky on Thursday morning...

I attended a Provide First Aid course on Thursday.  See the gurney?  One of the ladies taking the class became ill.  She was all hot and felt faint and thought she'd vomit.  The course instructor laid her on the floor and we fanned her and put a cold cloth on her neck.  After 15 minutes she was not feeling any better so the instructor called for an ambulance to get her checked out.  We think she may have had a stomach bug that come on.

I found this Komucha at our local Foodland and I bought a bottle to try.  Very nice but a bit different.  I'll buy a bottle from time to time...
Good old Zucchini Slice ...

Friday night dinner - these were lamb rib cutlets and were some of the best lamb we've tasted
in a long while!

The weeks seem to be flying by and we'll soon wave goodbye to April.  I have a weekend of not much planned...
Cheers - Joolz xx

  3. Hi Joolz, I've been trolling through your recipes and I've just made your baked savoury rice and it was great. I also added in some garlic and a little bit of paprika to add a bit of extra flavour (we're not into chilli but that would work). It was an ahhh moment when I saw this recipe because I make my risotto in the oven so beats me why I didn't think to make rice this way too!
