Cough remedy...

I mixed this up last night. First dose was okay, second one hours later was quite hot (as in Gee, that's bloody hot!)...
Not sure I am game this morning!
~
I have pain in my cheek and my teeth so I assume I have sinusitis - I have all of the symptoms - all of them!

I'm am well and truly sick of being sick! If you go back over my blog, you'll see I am rarely sick with anything - a sniffle once a year, maybe.
I'm dosing up on Panadol, drinking lots of water and will sip this cough remedy on and off and see where that gets me.
We're heading away for our anniversary this coming weekend so I want to be well for that!

Cheers - Joolz xx
PS if all else fails, I may need a medicinal brandy!

  1. Hi Joolz, I think I've joined you!!! Feel bloody awful have a rotten cough so I will be trying your remedy. Been at least 7 years since I have had a cold so I think it will have to be a 'man flu' version lol. And just to make the week all that enjoyable I have a mammogram tomorrow. Not my week.

    1. Argh! I thought I was getting better yesterday, all the 'fluids' in me seemed to be drying up but today I am a hot, mucussy mess again!
The cayenne pepper remedy was quite good but wow, did it get HOT! I'm into my second week of this and now hubby has got it too! Just as we are about to head away for this weekend! Nooooo!
Good girl for having a mammo too!

  2. Joolz, have you tried Golden Milk http://goinggreyandslightlygreen.blogspot.com.au/search/label/Golden%20Milk. It is supposed to work really well.

    1. Thanks, Chel - do you have to use almond milk or is that because you are lactose intolerant?

  3. I swear by this, add a glove of garlic as well and a teaspoon of tumeric. Kills of anything. Taste is hideous but it nips it in the butt pretty quick. Hopefully you start to feel better very soon xx

    1. Wow, the batch I mixed up nearly blew my head off once it had brewed for a day! But I might try with the garlic and turmeric too - kill or cure!! :)

  4. Joolz I hate to tell you but I had the dreaded lurgy and it was four weeks and two lots of antibiotics before I was well enough to do anything. Give yourself time to get better. A friend of mine pushed it and ended up in hospital with pneumonia. After that doom and gloom, I really do wish you a speedy recovery.

    1. It hasn't gone to my chest so I think it is more allergy than cold. My sinuses are sore and my teeth are aching from that too. I'm back on the cough medicine hoping that will dry up the mucus. Such lovely thing to talk about!
Thanks, I am being kind to myself (not overdoing it) so hopefully I will kick it very soon! :)

      Cheers - Joolz xx
