Show exhibits ...

I entered 'plain biscuits' - I chose Anzacs, peanut butter biscuits and my melting moments shortbread (un-iced). Three of each variety on the plate.

Banana caked, iced but not decorated...

I entered a Babymac 'Anne' chocolate cake but she failed to score a place...

My scones also disn't do any good...

I entered this landscape, taken in the Flinders Ranges...

This was sunset, taken over Wilpena Pound...

I love this closeup of my McLeod's Daughters rose...

I didn't exhibit any roses but the displays were stunning - must be a good year for roses here...

  1. We always enter things in our local Ag Show. It's such a great thing to do. Congratulations on your wins.

  2. Good work! I've never entered anything. I did serve as a volunteer for the judging team once...basically just carried plates to and from the judges, which was a hoot. I think one of their quiet comments went something like, 'this tastes like it's from the kitchen of a little old lady...you know, like maybe the shortening has been sitting in the cupboard too long.' For some reason that has stuck with me for decades! LOL

  3. great efforts!!! My kids had planned to enter our show and the cut off to submit got over looked by "me"....I had all the dates to do drop offs but didn't realise paperwork had a different date...so we ate my sons cake and the arts and crafts the girls did are waiting next year :(

  5. oh well done Joolz! What a great effort all round and obviously highly regarded. We visited Millicent on our recent SA trip. What a pity I wasn't organised enough to contact you to catch up over a cuppa! Millicent is such a sweet town though it was very windy on the day of our visit. Also a pity we missed Show time as I'm sure it would have been fun. cheers Wendy
