Porridge weather ...

I made a saucepan of porridge this morning (1/2 cup porridge oats, 1 cup of milk to start). Do you like my spurtle? My spurtle is made of Huon pine from Tasmania.
I sprinkled my porridge with LSA (ground linseed, sunflower seeds and almonds) and drizzled with honey (ligurian bee ho ey from Kangaroo Island, SA). Delicious!

  1. Great breakfast Joolz. I have porridge every day no matter what the weather. Looks like you and your spurtle make a lovely creamy porridge.

  3. Ticks all the boxes Joolz! Love porridge and that looks like a good mix. Made me wonder where I've put my honey stirrer/dipper thingy I bought in NZ years ago. I love LSA on mine too - plus some plain yoghurt. Enjoy! cheers Wendy

  5. Mmm porridge.
We add LSA to ours too. I like to pop a nice spoonful off chia seeds and coconut oil in there too.
I grew up on KI, miss the honey from there, although I don't mind our local honey here

  6. It is going to turn cold here on the weekend after beautiful Autumn weather so I was thinking of cooking up some porridge soon. I saw a spurtle at a craft show last year and didn't know what it was at the time so did a Google search. It made for interesting reading.
