This week ...

I visited out little antique/bric-a-brac shop and found some treasures. These four lovely pasta/cereal bowls ...
This blue plate - does the pattern look off centre to you?

This is a little bread and butter plate, love the sweet roses on it...

I loved Cranford so have bought Return to Cranford to um ... return to Cranford!

Honey mustard pork steaks for dinner - easy as wholegrain mustard, olive oil and honey and fresh thyme slathered on the pork...

They go lovely and brown and I served them with baked pears, baked potatoes and green salad (Weight Watchers recipe)...

Tasty sweet potato, chicken & spinach lasagne... another Weight Watchers recipe.

These are the muffin wraps I used for my muffins - brilliant!

Friday, 7th Feb - We are now in Sydney for the weekend - I am going to meet Peter Gilmore from Quay Restaurant (MasterChef) this afternoon with some other ladies and will sit in on a cooking demonstration with him. Very excited!

Cheers - Joolz xx

  1. Wow Joolz that all sounds very exciting. Enjoy Sydney and your cooking class, can't wait to get an update.
The plate does look off centre now that you mention it, optical illusion?
Your pork steaks look absolutely divine. Bet they tasted just as good as they looked.
Which WW book are your recipes from? They also look delicious!
I'm baking this w/end for the grand kids as they started prep on Thursday and the school is fairly strict on what the children are allowed to bring, so Nan to bake a few goodies for them. Mostly from your page Joolz, thank you for a wonderful blog.
    Enjoy your weekend.

  2. My Mum has a whole dinner set in the blue and white pattern. It is a very pretty pattern. I think your plate might be a little off centre. Hope you have a great time in Sydney and I am sure you will enjoy the demo.

  4. I love, love, love those stripey bowls. They remind me of the bowls that Snap, Crackle and Pop had on the Rice Bubbles packets when I was a kid. But then, I'm a sucker for blue and white crockery and have a blue and white set for everyday use.

Have a wonderful time in Sydney.
