  1. Hi Joolz,

My favourite blogs are MADE and Make it and Love it as they are great sewing blogs which give me ideas for what to make my granddaughters. My favourite gardening blog apart from Rhonda's of course is The Micro Gardener http://themicrogardener.com/. Anne has some real gems on her blog. Hope it has cooled down in SA. It is certainly cool here and that is much better than the dreadful heat.

  2. Thanks, Nanna Chel. I'll give them a go! Yes, we had 40C here again yesterday but it cooled off about 4pm with a wind change. Back to 27C today so that's liveable!

  3. I like "Sister Sun", Evi manages to celebrate abundance with nothing much at all. I also like "Sweet Birdy Love", Claire has gorgeous free hand sewn art works. My favourite American blog is "Pumpkin Pie Painter" and the author has some very profound things to say and she says it better than any preacher I ever heard. Actually I also like "The Deliberate Agrarian", Herrick has some great back to basic ideas in the garden and home. My favourite English blog is "Hettie Brown", just like her style. My favourite European blog is "Mamas Kram", lots of good ideas for gifts and life events, especially Christmas. That will give you something to trawl through while you are inside in the cool. x

  4. I see from your blog list that you already have quite a few of my favourites. A couple more that you might like are thekitchensgarden, which is the blog of a Kiwi woman living on a farm in Nebraska. She's a wonderful writer and there is a mixture of writing, pictures, bits about the farm, garden and recipes. It's lovely. I also like British Mum's Kitchen/ - great recipes and an insight into her family. Then Adelaide quilting blogger Quilting in my Pyjamas, another cooking blog with a fabulous name Buns in My Oven, an English cooking blog written by a Canadian lady living in the UK called The English Kitchen, an Irish cooking blog with lovely recipes (his ricotta and spinach stuffed pasta shells we had for dinner last night) Donal Skehan and The Smitten Kitchen.

  5. Lots for me to surf there, Marie. I am familiar with The English kitchen and her naughty, delicious comfort cooking. Thank you!

  6. Hi Joolz - I think we have similar tastes, as I like to surf for new blogs and I think a lot of the ones I read are on your list. (Thanks for adding my little neglected blog too!).
I don't think think I spotted this one on your list - http://coalvalleyview.blogspot.com.au/. It's always a lovely read.

  7. Something not on your list....I think...The Gardeners Cottage...Janet is so sweet, though she thinks not, Her blog has such a calmness to it I wish I could jump inside her blog. And, Rhonda at If You Do Stuff. Lots of baking, frugal ideas, lots of making cute stuff for the grandbabies.
