Same old, same old...

Dinner last night - thick cut steak, salad and potato oven fries...

Bonnie giving me the 'stink eye' - she just doesn't photo well!

Here she is saying 'Please let me in and feed me!'

A very rare photo indeed - Gus being nice and giving Bonnie some leftover mince - he made her beg!

This is the huge arrangement of beautiful red roses that was on our mate Dudda's casket (they took the arrangement to the wake) - I would guess there would have been over 100 roses and it measured about 5 feet long. His wife chose these because he always bought her red roses. It was a huge funeral (maybe 500+ people) and a beautiful way to farewell our mate. His son spoke so beautifully about his dad and six other men gave testament to Dudda's beloved character as a larrikin, good mate and colleague to so many. The wake went on well into the night.

(amazingly - this was taken on my E71 Nokia phone)
The big sky on the way home from Adelaide on Sunday. A bit of a storm brewing - the weather has been unseasonally warm for the start of August - really weird in fact. I have trees that are already spouting new green leaves that don't normally get them until mid September.

Nothing much else happening at the moment, just work and home duties. Bri is away on a Science camp so it's Apricot Chicken for dinner - Yay!

It was soooo good... and there are leftovers!

  2. Sorry Joolz, I have just caught up on your blog. That is sad news about your friend, it is indeed a terrible disease. I have an uncle that has been fighting bowel cancer but his time is almost up. It has been five years since his first diagnosis, but he is now suffering terribly, he too has had enough...

I dread getting older because this is another thing we need to deal with. Losing close friends and family is always hard.

Sending a big hug to you all.

    xx
