Weird weather...

Yesterday and today the weather has been chilly to say the least (can you believe we wanted to put on the heating last night?...but refrained). What is going on with our weather? Last week we were sweltering in humid, muggy 30C+ and now it is 17C, windy and raining.

Australia is suffering some of the worst floods in history and people are hurting at the moment so I do not feel right in complaining about a few showers and a bit of wind, but gee, Mother Nature, could you ease up for a bit?

  1. Yes the weather is rather strange at the moment, doesn't look like it is going to end soon. We haven't had to much rain but it is hot and humid here, but it threatens to storm each night but seems to miss us.

  3. Who knows about the weather. Is this the new 'normal' or will things become summery soon? I guess we all just have to live with it no matter if it is drought or flood or whatever.

  5. Yes the weather has been very strange but great that there is now water in abundance...probably too much in some places!

  6. Totally weather is nuts. We shivered our way through the last day of three year old kinder on Friday and then through little athletics that night. It's just plain crazy for this time of year. Thanks for the cupcake comment

  7. It has been crazy in places hasn't it. We had about 6 inches in about 10 days. I certainly was whinging about being rained in and not able to get off the farm. We have had some crops ruined... but at least we've harvested almost everything. I really feel for those that have had flooding and everything is gone.

  8. Sorry to hear about the troubles there with the bad weather. I hope it all passes very soon. Yes, the weather has been pretty weird where we live, too. It was warm and wonderful one day and the next week it was so cold we had the fireplace raging.

At the moment, though, we are in the Sunny Caribbean. I'm delighted to be able to get on line in a US port today so I can check into your blog and others that I can't get to load via satellite.

    Hugs,
    Lois

  9. Still Raining here, though we did have a bit of hail this afternoon as a variation.
