Friday again...

Hasn't the week just flown by? Seems like yesterday I peeled myself out of bed for Monday and now its Friday already! This geranium only had buds on it last Sunday and now it has about 5 bloom heads. I love the paint-spattered flecks it has through it. Yummy!

I did a wok full of of prawn & bacon fried rice last night for dinner - chop, chop, toss, toss and it's done. Lots of veggies in there, too!

Some of my roses are blooming, especially in this warm weather. This morning its really overcast, stormy skies and really warm, probably over 20C already.

Bonnie was patrolling the garden with me. I like to pick snails off plants in the early morning.
~
Hmmm, those weeds are thriving! My carpet roses and Bonica standard roses out front are taking their time but are ready to burst into flower, just a bit more sun needed I think.

Tomorrow, I am joining Chookyblue for a cross stitch display. I find I just don't have time for cross stitch nowadays. I did a lot when my babies were little but now I feel guilty sitting for any length of time. This display may just kick me into gear again - I have plenty of UFO's I could pick up...
~
Enjoy your Friday, I'm off to work now.

  3. Food and flowers. Two of my favorite things. Bonnie is darling, too. :) It was very, very warm here - not at all seasonal. It was a gorgeous Indian Summer day.

  4. I thought that geranium was a rose at first glance, very nice colours.

This weather just keeps the weeds a growing, I have never pulled or mowed so many before this year. When we went to Qld they overtook the place lol. Can imagine what it is like there with a wetter climate.

Yes time is flying, wish I could go back in time to when I was a child and time went so slowly.

    Have a great day Joolz...

  6. I've been on a blogging fast during the whole move thing going on, so I haven't gotten to visit in what seems a long time. Beautiful geranium...my favorite flower. Yummy looking fried rice...and I think I have everything in the kitchen! There was something else I think I wanted to say, but I can't remember. argh.

  7. Oh, I remember what I wanted to say now. I found so many finished-but-unframed cross-stitch pieces during the packing. Most are quite out of style now. I tried to pick up a new project a few years ago, and found it very difficult since my eyesight has gone downhill a LOT since my cross-stitch heyday. But I do miss seeing a picture grow on a blank piece of fabric.
