Winter weather and more...

This is what the weather is like today in my corner of the world...
it's about 13C, raining and very windy. Poor Brianna had to play netball but fortunately today she only got put on for the first half of the game. She was blue by the time the game was over. But they had a win - yay!

... so this is what I'm doing now. Got my ugg slippers on and I'm on the couch!

A few weeks ago (June 24th) I headed into the shops to pick up a loaf of bread early and the sunrise looked so pretty so I found a spot on the edge of town and took these pictures...

These were taken June 28 at 6.20am. Such warm colours on such a cold morning.

I made pumpkin scones last weekend...
~
Saturday night we had slow cooked lamb shanks...
~
... deeeeelicious!

Last night we had chicken burgers - the recipe is here.
I spread the toasted Turkish bread with sweet chilli sauce, topped the burger with a little grated cheese, butter lettuce, onion, tomato, avocado and greek yoghurt with paprika mixed in. Very nice!

Hope you are comfortable in what ever weather you may be enduring - winter is certainly showing it's face here today and last night the wind and rain howled all night. Brrrrrrrrrr!

  3. Your sunset images are terrific! Just wonderful!

Seeing and hearing about cold weather reminds us here where it is so hot right now that winter will eventually come. :)
