Paddock barbecue...

Angus prepared a small fire to cook our lunch. Wayno and Coral came over to join us.
~
Snags and onions on the griddle...
~
Juicy Scotch fillet steaks over the coals...

This is part of our 2.5 acre block...

'Ruby' our adventure wagon (Adventure before Dementia)- a Land Rover Defender. In two weeks we are off for a weekend camping trip.
~
~
Angus & Wayno let the cooking fire die down and started up the larger bonfire to get rid of some dead, fallen wood.
~
The rain stayed away and later in the day the wind dropped right off so it was very cosy by the fire.
~
A weird cloud hanging over our town. All in all a lovely afternoon - we even managed dessert - Cinnamon crumble muffins with caramel sauce and cream. Very decadent for the back yard!
~
Hope you had a good weekend. It's a long weekend next week so we are having a 'homey'. Lots of little maintenance jobs to do and Kirby comes home for swatvac so there are a few dishes on the menu that we want to try so stay tuned for more food pics.

Cheers - Joolz

  3. I love that you can have a campfire in your yard! My neighbors do that, but we have used just about every level spot we have in our yard for gardening.

Are Scotch steaks different from normal steaks?

  8. Ahhh... what a lovely barbecue! The pic of the steak got my mouth watering, and then I was done at the mention of the muffins! I'm so glad that you had a great weekend!

We toured the Great Ocean Road on Sunday, and the weather 'sort-of" held for us, but I have never been in the Otways when it wasn't raining or foggy!
