Menu for this week...and other stuff...

Ah, Saturday morning! I don't go into work usually so I can sit and enjoy my breakfast at leisure. This is how I like my toast - cold with lots of vegemite and peanut butter. I need to cut back on the butter!
~
Anyhow, the peace was shattered by a phone call from Angus. Our only salesman has contracted whooping cough so he must have at least a week off work. He had a coughing fit and had trouble breathing at work this morning so Angus made him go back to the doctor. His test results from earlier in the week were there waiting for him - yup, whooping cough! He has a young family so they now have to be tested too, although the kids have been immunised. We are off to have booster shots on Monday!
~
Our office manager who works with me has just gone on one weeks leave so that only leaves me and Angus to man the fort! Kirby is able to help us out so that will lighten the load a bit. Brianna has been earning her keep while our detailer has been away too. It's a real family business!
~
I made blueberry & white choc muffins on Tuesday. With real blueberries! So good!
This was my menu for the week:

Monday - Chicken Pot Pie
Tuesday - Beef Plum stirfry
Wednesday - Pork & veal cannelloni
~
Thursday - Rosemary, garlic & lemon lamb chops from Our Red House with...
~
Crash Hot Potatoes from Pioneer Woman. Click here. (I just bake my spuds for a good hour then smash 'em!) Oh, yeah!
~
Hey, I forgot to show you how I presented my Christmas cookies to my friends. I found these cute chinese food boxes at our cheap shop, Absolutely Anything - $2 each.
~
I do like to sit and read the paper quietly on a Saturday morning. But there are dishes on the sink, more washing to be done and several other things going on so I'd better get to it!
~
Friday - Mexican Potato Casserole from Judy at Mennonite Girls Can Cook. Served with heated corn chips & cheese, sour cream and lettuce and tomato. My girls' favourite dinner!
~
We are off the the Cape Jaffa Seafood & Wine Fest tomorrow so I'll post photos on Monday night - it should be a ripper weekend. Hope yours is too,
~
Cheers - Joolz
