What's up today...

Eating: for dinner - Corned Beef Silverside, mashed potatoes, carrots, peas & beans with a white parsley, mustard and cheese sauce.
*
Watching: Lost in Austen (DVD) - quite enjoying it too. Better get back to it!
*
Reading: When the Heart Cries - Niki from Rural Writings has been reading this book so I thought I would get it. I ordered it through Amazon because it is not available in Australia yet. Ordered on the 27th of Sept. and it arrived today - 10 days! A pricey exercise, freight wise, but I think if you order more than one book, the freight stays the same. I have my $100 Amazon voucher from Robynn to spend so will take my time and get the best value.
*
On TV tonight - looking forward to: River Cottage Spring (ABC), Celebrity MasterChef (Ten) and taping Spick n Specks (ABC) to watch later.
*
A chilly day here - lovely sunshine but a really chill wind, cuts you to the bone.
*
What did you get up t today?
*
Cheers - Joolz

  1. Wow, that dinner looks amazing! Corned beef is only at St Patricks day here, March 17th, We're waiting to watch "Survivor" on Thurs, also doing DIY car mechanics, live chat tonight on www swapsavers.com . Really hope to walk outside today, but cold windy and misty rain.

  2. We love corned beef and cabbage (a boiled supper) occasionally and we haven't had it in a while.....hmmmm

I loved Lost in Austen, I hope you're enjoying it. I'm reading the third in the series of that book right now. It's been a fairly good series, not fantastic, but nice light reading for bedtime, or afternoon with a cuppa.

Have a wonderful weekend....we're having Thanksgiving here in Canada this weekend.

    Blessings
    Niki

  3. Corned beef, haven't had that in ages either, if the weather stays cool, I just might have to make some. Lost in Austen is great, so funny.

  5. Hello Joolz! I am UP today. That is super good for me! I had a very down day yesterday and felt horribly sorry for myself. But today has been good. Starting to heal. Being at home is terribly boring. I could not handle being fully retired. I complain about going to work but actually love it now that I HAVE to stay home for a week. hehe I am going to find that book in our huge book store in town, I love to read and my book choices have been dumb lately can't even finish a book. Glad to see your diet is going so well! hugs and smiles...linda
