Day 5, 6 & 7...more dining out....

(Monday Sept. 7 - 7.30am)
Today I weigh 73.0 kgs . I have lost 500gms (1.1 lb) in the past week. Not as much as I would like but better than gaining. I did eat out at restaurants on Thursday night, Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday morning so I guess that's not too bad.

Day 5 - We went to Adelaide on Friday and dined out at Zappata's Mexican Restaurant - I had chicken tacos (3!) which were very good. Apart from the grated cheese, they were pretty healthy. Afterwards, the girls wanted to go to this quaint little place for dessert - Elephant Walk. Bri and I shared a chocolate fruit fondue (above). I ate about half the fruit and dipped it in the chocolate only ever so slightly. Heaven. Angus & Kirby each had strawberry waffled with icecream and strawberry sauce. OMG they were huge servings!

This is Bri doing the 'blue steel' look and enjoying her fondue and huge iced chocolate (and Kirby cracking up in the background)!

Day 6 - Saturday after going to a property auction, we girls went into the mall and had sushi for lunch. I bought a fresh fruit salad for dessert. Later I had a 2fruit/3veg Boost juice - apple, orange, carrot, celery and beetroot. Very yummy!

Dinner saw us head to a tapas bar, Mezzaluna, where we had some lovely little tapas dishes for entree then I ordered a pizza which had marinated lamb, tomato, spicy yoghurt and pistachio nuts on it. Way too much yoghurt made it soggy (they should serve it on the side in a small dish) so I didn't enjoy it and only ate 2 small slices.

Day 7 - Sunday we went out for Father's Day breakfast. Feeling a little seedy from the night before so only ate small amount of egg & bacon breakfast. We left Adelaide just before lunch time and we wheeled into McDonald's for Brianna. I thought, gee I'd love a Quarter Pounder, then had a further thought...No You Can Not! So I had a seared chicken snack wrap instead. Lunch was at Subway an hour or so later - wholemeal roll Subway Club, toasted with salads. Normally I would chew my way through Lifesavers and Maltesers on the journey home but I was good and had 2 bananas and a mandarin.
*
We bought some King George whiting at our favourite fish shop before we left Adelaide. This is what we had for dinner last night. Very nice.

So the week has been busy but I stuck to the Throw Down pretty well. I walked every weekday morning so that's 25kms all up. I developed a headache on Tuesday and Wednesday and I think it was due to no sugar in my coffee and tea and no raspberry cordial that I sometimes have after work. It disappeared eventually.

Onwards I shall roll,
Cheers - Joolz

  1. That whiting looks delicious. Slow and steady is the best way Joolz, you're doing well.

  2. You're doing great, darlin'!

I have to say that the Whiting looks so darn good, that I may have to prod the Old Guy to go catch us some!
But the Mexican food? Omigosh, just the thought of chicken tacos, had me drooling right down the front of my shirt!
