Ugg Boots ...

*
These my (international) friends, are Ugg Boots! They are made of sheepskin with lambswool lining. They come in many styles, sizes and a rainbow of colours.

These are my yummy warm 'ugg boots'. We travelled to Glencoe for netball this morning. It was sunny but only about 10C. Unfortunately, Bri took a tumble in the first quarter and came off after that. She has a lovely bruise on her hip and is limping. She is miserable with a cold so it was best that she came off and rugged up for the remainder of the game (I forgot to take game photos).

This is what is inside the ugg boots. Beautiful, soft, warm lambswool. My tootsies were snuggly warm all day!

  2. I have had my uggies on all day today too, though we are not as cold as you are.

The fire has been on for days now. I love slopping around in comfy soft boots and slumpy loose clothes when I am not doing much around home.

Hope Bri hasn't done too much damage, she will know all about it tomorrow when the bruise comes out.

  3. Ugg boots look good, warm and comfortable...will have to look for some when it gets to be winter here. Right now, we are having to use the air conditioner and it get hot, hot, hot each day!

    Thanks for educationg me, Joolz.

Wonder where they got their name, though, as the word is close to the word ugly, but they are far from being ugly!??

  7. Thanks for that Joolz. Not quite what I thought they were but we can get something similar here. And so I should think, the weather we get!

We used to be able to get some things called Moon Boots which were similar and all cosy and fleecy lined but they were meant for snowy weather. They tended to last forever so you'd get fed up of them before they wore out.
